Tom Sheehan joined Davie in 2025 as Vice-President, Ship Repair, leading maintenance and modernization programs for Navy, Coast Guard, and commercial vessels while driving strategic growth to strengthen Canada’s maritime capability. A former Royal Canadian Navy Commander, Tom served 24 years with operational deployments to Afghanistan, the Persian Gulf, and South America, earning the Canadian Forces’ Decoration and the Meritorious Service Medal. His career reflects deep expertise in naval operations, defence procurement, and complex program delivery. Before joining Davie, Tom held senior roles at Irving Shipbuilding, where he oversaw River-class destroyer design and major repair programs. He holds degrees in engineering and defence studies from the Royal Military College of Canada and a Master of Applied Science from the University of Waterloo. Today, Tom champions innovation and partnerships to keep Davie at the forefront of Canada’s National Shipbuilding Strategy.
